The Penelope Review is always open for poetry and prose submissions.
Word limit for all submissions (i.e. both poetry and prose) is 2000 words. Send as many works as you’d like under this word limit.
We publish on a rolling basis.
Formatting & Submission
- File Format: Please attach all your pieces in one Word or PDF document.
- Cover Letter: Optional.
- Author Bio: Please include a brief author bio (maximum 50 words).
- Simultaneous Submissions: Accepted and encouraged, but please inform us if your work is accepted or published elsewhere.

Response Time
We aim to respond to all submissions within five days.
Compensation
We are currently unable to offer financial compensation to authors, other than in the form of utmost gratitude.
Rights and Ownership
We request First Publication Rights for selected works. After publication, all rights revert to the author. We do not claim ownership of your work.
